Paul G. Foucré received his B.S. (cum laude) from Boston College with a major in French and Spanish. He was awarded one of the first Teaching Fellowships in the Romance Languages Department at Boston College where he studied under Joseph Gauthier S.J., Joseph Figurito and Lewis A. Sumberg. He received his Master degree upon completion of his master’s thesis "Le Classicisme de Raymond Radiguet", directed by Walter G. Langlois.
Before coming to Stonehill, he taught at Boston College, summers at Boston University and since 1964 has been at Stonehill. He served as Department Chair from 1966-1975 and has served on many committees. He has done additional studies on Zola with Monique Fol and studied new interpretations of modern French literature with French author J.M.G. LeClezio. He has also studied modern Spanish drama and novel with Robert Sheehan. He has taught all levels of French literature and language and currently teaches the basic courses in French and Spanish.
