Courses taught include Economics of Health Care, Forensic Economics, Managerial Economics, Honors and Introductory level courses. The most recent addition to his course offerings is “ China’s Economic Miracle: A Closer Look”. He has taught in London, Germany, Belgium, Malaysia, Israel, and Bermuda in association with Boston University. He received two Fulbright Group Travel Grants – Morocco (1991) and China (2006).

Professor Rosenthal serves as an expert witness in projecting economic losses in matters ranging from wrongful death to gender discrimination. His expertise has been sought by local Boston area law firms, the City of Boston, as well as firms located in New York City, Hartford and Tel Aviv, Israel. In the aftermath of the 9/11 attack, he provided his expertise on a pro bono basis for families impacted by that event.

He authored “Economics and Crime,” a chapter published in Understanding Crime: A Multidisplinary Approach, and has also published op-ed pieces in the following newspapers: The Chicago Tribune, Providence Journal, Christian Science Monitor, The Philadelphia Inquirer, among others.
