Fr. Chichetto is a priest of the Congregation of Holy Cross. For four years, he worked as a missionary and educator in Peru and is currently an associate professor in the Communications Dept. He is author of several books of verse and prose. He has been published over three hundred times in various publications, including in The Manhattan Review, The Boston Globe, Commonweal, The Boston Phoenix, The Colorado Review, America, and The London Tablet.
His work has appeared in several anthologies, including Anthology of Magazine Verse and Yearbook of American Poetry, Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust, and The Native American Anthology.
Through his publications, he has been a recipient of numerous benefits and awards, including two NEA and three NEH grants. He is a Renaissance Weekend Scholar and is listed in The International Who's Who of Authors (Routledge), Directory of American Scholars, Mass Foundation for Humanities Scholars, Contemporary Authors Series, among others.
