Senior Graphic Design Majors Showcase Work

March 14, 2013

The work of Stonehill's graduating graphic design majors will be on display at the Cushing-Martin Gallery through March 21 as part of the annual Graphic Design exhibit.

This year's display includes work from 19 graduating seniors. They include: Jorge Bosch, Christine Conway, Michael Cotrone, Michelle Curtis, Paula Gadomski, Anastasia Flaherty, David Girvan, Evan Grandmont, Stephen Lizotte, Christopher Manke, Jessica Martin, Jennifer McAllister, Kevin McNamee, Ramses Montero, Hanna Pattie, Casey Remick, Allison Rose, Jessica Ruhlin, and Melissa Vella.

The 19 designers have organized their exhibition into six sections: publication, typography, motion graphics, web, 3-D, package, and identity design. Besides showcasing their work, they ask the viewer to engage with the fundamentals and the process of design and creative problem solving by giving examples of their work from initial ideas to the final physical solution.

They have also recreated a "studio" with a work desk and idea board for the viewer to interact with so that the viewer sees the complete process.

Their excellent work shows that these young designers are accomplished communicators, aesthetes, conceptual thinkers and craftsmen.
