Subject Tutoring
The CWAA offers a variety of individual and group tutoring options for students seeking assistance in specific subject areas. All Subject Tutors maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and participate in regular training sessions. Tutoring takes place in the CWAA, the Shields Science Center Atrium, or the Roche Dinning Commons. Students interested in working with a tutor in a subject that is not offered are encouraged to complete the Tutor Request Form.
Tutoring is currently available in the following subjects:
- Calculus
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Spanish
- Italian
The CWAA also works closely with the Department of Mathematics and the Chemistry Department to provide additional academic support.
Math Lab
Students seeking support in mathematics will benefit from working with peer tutors in the Math Lab on homework, exam preparation and concept practice.
Atrium Science Tutors
The CWAA receives recommendations from the Chemistry Department for students who are interested in providing academic support in the sciences during evening hours in the Shields Science Center Atrium. Atrium Tutors' schedules vary each semester.
Hours & Appointments
At this time, no appointment is necessary to meet with a Subject Tutor. Students seeking additional academic support are encouraged to meet with a Subject Tutor on a walk-in basis. Please refer to our Hours & Appointments page for current walk-in hours.
