How do I disable Voice Mail Preview?
- Log in to Outlook Web App .
- In the upper right under your name, navigate to Options > See All Options... > Phone
- Click on the Voice Mail heading and scroll down to the Voice Mail Preview section.
- Uncheck (to disable) Include preview text... in both places.
- Click the Save button to finalize the setting.
How do I change my PIN?
You can reset your PIN by signing in to the Outlook Web App and navigating to Options > See All Options... > Phone > Reset PIN. Select the "Reset my voice mail PIN..." link and follow the on-screen prompts. This feature will generate a new PIN which is then emailed to you. You will then be able to dial in to Unified Messaging and follow the prompts to change your PIN.
To change your PIN, dial in to the Unified Messaging Service at (508) 565-1400 from off campus or by dialing 1400 if you are on campus. Say "Personal Options" (or press 6 on the keypad) and then press 3 to change your PIN. Enter your PIN and then press the # (pound) key.
How do I setup Voice Mail Preview?
To enable this feature, login to the Outlook Web App and navigate to Options > See All Options... > Phone > Voice Mail Preview.
Check (to enable) or Uncheck (to disable) Include preview text... in both places depending on how you want your voice mail previews to display. Then click the Save button.
How do I setup Missed Call Notifications?
To enable this feature, login to the Outlook Web App and navigate to Options > See All Options... > Phone > Notifications.
Check (to enable) or Uncheck (to disable) Send an email message to my Inbox when I miss a phone call. Then click the Save button.
How do I record my name in the Unified Messaging system?
Dial in to the Unified Messaging system at (508) 565-1400 or Ext. 1400 if you are on campus.
Say "Personal Options" (or press 6 on the keypad to change your personal options).
Press 2 "To record your greetings."
Press 3 "To record your name."
Follow the prompts to record your name.
Why are my missed call messages only showing an office extension and not the callers name?
As we roll out Unified Message to the Stonehill Community, we are doing so by department. If a department has already been upgraded, then you will see the callers name. If the department has yet to be upgraded, you will only see that persons office extension. However, if they are in your contacts list, then their name will appear in the Missed Call message.
If I set an "Out of Office" message in my email, will it reply to voice messages that arrive while I'm away?
Setting an "Out of Office" message in Outlook will not reply to callers while you are out of the office.

Why did my Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light turn off on my phone?
If you have a new voice mail in your mailbox, the Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) light on your phone will glow red, letting you know there is a new (unopened) message in your mailbox.
If you are setup to receive missed call notifications and voice mail previews in your email inbox, then once you read or listen to a message through email, the Message Waiting Indicator light will turn off. (Note: If you mark the message as unread, the MWI will appear again.)
Why did I receive a Full Mailbox Notification?
The Full Mailbox Notification indicates that you are approaching a full Exchange mailbox. When your mailbox is full, you will not receive voice mail messages on your phone, nor will they be forwarded to your email. Once old messages are deleted, any new voice mails will appear.
Can I access my Personal Contacts from calling in to Unified Messaging?
You can find a contact and place a call, even if you don't know their phone number. Local contact information that you have setup in Outlook is accessible using Unified Messaging.
Simply say the contacts first and last name, and tell the system which number you'd like to call (office, cell or home, if you have the numbers recorded in your local contacts).
I have saved voice mail messages in our current system, what will happen to them when I am migrated over to Unified Messaging?
The voice mail messages you have saved in the current system will be available for 30 days after your account has been migrated to the Unified Messaging system.
Can I email a distribution list using Outlook Voice Access?
While you can reply to a an email message using Outlook Voice Access, you cannot create and send an email using this service. This holds true for sending an email to a distribution list. The best way to send a message to your distribution lists is to use the Outlook desktop client or the Outlook Web App.
Can I use the "Play on Phone" feature to play a voice mail message on my mobile phone?
No, the "Play on Phone" feature will only work with an on-campus extension.
