Shelley Leahy
Associate Director

Shelley has worked in higher education since l978 in the areas of career services/cooperative education, adult education, and academic advising. At Stonehill, she teaches a Learning Strategies course (APL042), available to first year students. Shelley also works one on one with students to help them improve their study strategies, advises students in the "Back on Track" program, oversees the academic warning system, and works with students seeking readmission to the college. Shelley also enjoys being the Office's liaison to student athletes.

In her spare time, she loves to read and write.

 

Darcy Lynch

Darcy moved into Academic Services and Advising after 5 years in the Office of Career Services at Stonehill. She is excited to be working with students on developing their academic plans and advises all transfer students through their transition to the college.

Darcy enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on house projects and dining at Boston restaurants. She likes being outside, reading and doing the NY Times crossword puzzle on the weekends.

 

Elizabeth Orlando

Elizabeth's career in disability services started as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, and she later moved into higher education started with Suffolk University.

At Stonehill, Elizabeth oversees the Office of Disability Services and assists students with self-advocacy coaching, academic accommodations, assistive technology, meal plan accommodations and housing accommodations. She helps sponsor disability awareness programming for students, staff and faculty. Elizabeth also chairs the Disability Services Committee for the College. Outside of work, Elizabeth loves shopping, reading, watching movies and taking walks/hikes.

 

Richard Dufault

Rich's first job in higher education was at Suffolk University Law School's Office of Career Services, where he worked while pursuing his master's in the evenings.  Soon after graduation he started at Stonehill as an Academic Advisor.  In the OAS&A Rich advises undeclared students, working with them on strategies for choosing the right major.  He works with students in the "Back on Track" program and those who have been brought to our attention as having academic difficulties.  

Rich likes to pass the time listening to music, and reality TV is one of his guilty pleasures.

Donna has worked at Stonehill since 1987, working on the switchboard, then in Continuing Education and finally, Academic Services and Advising in 2003. In her role as office manager, she is the initial contact person for the Office of Academic Services and Advising.  Donna works closely with the Professional Staff to assist with the day to day operations of the department.  

An animal lover, Donna has 3 dogs, 4 birds and a rabbit at home.
