Preparing For Finals
- Prepare yourself mentally by finding out what the exam will cover (chapters, notes, handouts)
- Organize your time by making up an exam schedule for yourself, including study time, meals, rest and recreation
- Study in an environment free from distractions
- Find out if the exam is objective (multiple choice, fill-in the blanks, matching) or subjective (essay)
- Form a study group in the library
- Ask questions from your notes by jotting down questions in the margin
- Study a little bit each day to alleviate cramming
- Recite, Recite, Recite to make sure you remember
- Learn to relax by taking some deep breaths before the exam begins
