The Counseling and Testing Center has developed a step-by-step guide to walk you through Recognizing and Assisting Students of Concern.
I have a question about disability accommodations.
The Office of Disability Services has a FAQ for Faculty that addresses many of the questions common to faculty who work with students with disabilities.
I have a student who is in need of tutoring.
The Center for Writing and Academic Achievement offers a variety of individual and group tutoring options for students seeking assistance with their writing skills and in other select subject areas.
I have a question about how to help one of my advisees.
The Office of Academic Services has an Advisor Information Page that provides tips, forms, and other information for academic advisors.
How do I help students with thinking about life after Stonehill?
The Office of Career Services can assist students with resumes/cv's, interviewing, and the job search. Timelines are provided for applying to graduate/professional schools, as well as post-graduate service options. For employment, Career Connection is a wonderful Stonehill resource that contains entry-level job postings and alumni mentors who are willing to assist our students.
What if my advisee wants to complete an internship?
The Office of Career Services maintains a database of internships in Career Connection. Students can receive credit for an internship or simply complete it for the experience.
My advisee is interested in studying abroad.
The Office of International Programs hosts a Faculty Resources page that gives an overview of your role as an advisor along with additional resources about students' study abroad options.
Is there funding available for student projects or travel?
The Office of Academic Achievement offers Student Research & Creative Projects Grants as well as Student Travel Grants.
My student could be competitive for a national award.
