How do I Order Clickers?
You may call the Bookstore to place your order to include ResponseCard RF as part of your course requirement.
How do I get a receiver for myself?
At the beginning of each semester, IT Help Desk will check out receivers to instructors using clickers in their classes. At the end of the term, receivers need to be returned to IT.
How do I connect the receiver and what is the range?
The ResponseCards and receivers rely on wireless technologies, so they do not require direct line of sight. You can plug them into any available USB port on your computer. The effective range of a ResponseCard RF is about 200 feet (60 meters). A single receiver is sufficient for up to 1000 ResponseCards. When the receiver is connected, the participant has to simply press the number or letter on the ResponseCard to send a response.
How do I create an account and add my classes to start using the ResponseCard RF Clickers?
Please review the tutorials on how to create your account and Add your classes before you ask your students to register their clickers.
How can I get clickers for occasional use?
Currently IT has a 1 loaner set of 30 clickers and a receiver. You may contact Media/Videography to arrange a loaner set by stooping by Duffy 210 or calling extension 1215.Please note that since we only have one loaner set, the loans will be on a short term basis. The loaner set clickers should not be registered to anyone since it is a loaner set and numerous people will use it. All the data collected will be "generic" and not registered with specific users.
