Color Them Purple: Seventeen Stonehill students living on campus this summer recently ran in the Boston Color Me Rad 5k race. Not only did they have a blast but the team, called Color Me Purple, raised funds for the Simon Youth Foundation, which helps prevent at risk kids from dropping out of high school. Big shout out to all the participants for their dedication to community service!
When students become alumni, they don’t forget the service lessons they learned here as Katherine McCoy ’10 reminds us. Memorial Day Weekend, McCoy, three alums and one student, volunteered at Maine’s Camp Sunshine, which serves children with threatening illnesses. Committed to justice and compassion are, from left, McCoy, Stephanie Pouzol ’09, Stephen Dudek ’10, Erin Casey ’10, & Nora Feeney ’13.
At Reunion, 11 couples renewed their wedding vows in the Chapel of Mary with Alumni Chaplain Rev. Robert Wiseman, C.S.C. officiating. Erin (Keyo) Mann ’02 and her husband Jared Mann, formerly of Residence Life and Career Services, brought their children Brendan and Kayleigh to the ceremony. Erin effortlessly multitasks as she and Jared renew their vows.
At Commencement, 18 members of the Stonehill Police Department were on duty. Before their shift began, they posed for this Picture of the Week.
