Wireless Implementation Plan
Our plan for full coverage of wireless in all campus buildings was based on feedback from students, faculty (primarily TAC) and staff. It is also tied to capital budget allocations which spread the project across 3 fiscal years beginning in FY11.
Phase I: FY11 (July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011)
In May of 2011, we completed the installation wireless in all residential areas. This was a priority for our current students, and is a desirable feature for prospective students.
Phase II: FY12 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012)
During this phase we will be wiring and installing access points in buildings which are primarily academic in the order listed below:
|Old Student Union||Spring|
|Roche Dining||Spring break|
Phase III: FY13 (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013)
During Phase III, we will complete the wireless implementation in the following buildings:
- 16 Belmont Street
- Alumni Hall
- Ames Sports Complex
- Chapel of Mary
- Clock Farm
- Donahue Hall
