Charlene Lorion Dalrymple is the Director of the Stonehill Collegiate Chorale and Music Department Chair and Choral Director at Oliver Ames High School here in Easton. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Music with a Vocal Concentration from University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Dalrymple has also studied voice at Catholic University in Washington D.C., and Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
For twelve years, she was Psalmist and Leader of Song at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, and also served as Soprano in the Cathedral Quartet. From 1985-1990 she was a fulltime member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus in Boston. She has performed as soloist with numerous choral societies in the Metropolitan Boston area, performing solos from Mozart's Requiem, Mass in c minor, and Vespers, as well as Haydn Mass in D, Vivaldi Gloria, Faure Requiem, Poulenc Gloria and Brahms Requiem. She has been a frequent soloist with the Boston Boy Choir in Cambridge and has performed as guest soloist in a Baroque Recital at Georgetown University in 2004. Mrs. Dalrymple studied with Donna Roll (Longy School of Music), Carol Haber (New England Conservatory) and coaches with Mrs. Eleanor Edwards (Oberlin College), and has sung several recitals with fellow members of the Music Faculty at Stonehill.
