Setting up Email on Android

These instructions were created using a Motorola Droid2 with Android 2.2 installed. Please note that different manufacturers and Android OS versions may differ from these instructions.

Removing Existing Corporate Sync Account

To create a new Corporate Sync account for your Stonehill College email:

  • Go to Settings > Accounts
  • Choose the existing Corporate Sync account
  • Scroll to the bottom of the account screen, and click the "Add account" button
  • Choose "Corporate Sync" from the providers listed
  • In the "Domain\Username" field, enter your Stonehill domain and username. Ex. "stonehill\jdoe"
  • In the "Password" field, enter Stonehill password
  • Leave the "Use Secure Connection" checkbox checked
  • In the "Email address" field, enter your full email address. Ex. "jdoe@stonehill.edu"
  • In the "Server" field, enter the Stonehill webmail address: mail.stonehill.edu
  • Click "Next"

Once the account has been added, reboot your device. Once rebooted, you should notice your Stonehill account syncing with your device.

Removing existing Corporate Sync account:

If you have a problem accessing your email account after you reboot your mobile device, you need to delete your account and recreate it.

To remove an existing Corporate Sync account:
  • Choose Settings > Accounts
  • Choose the existing Corporate Sync account
  • Scroll to the bottom of the account screen, and click the "Remove account" button

When prompted to confirm the removal of the account, choose "Yes".
