Preparing for the Fair: A Checklist
- Unsure of what you want to do? Go here to research potential career paths.
- Have your resume(s) and cover letter(s) reviewed. Make an appointment with Career Services or stop by during walk-in hours from 1-3pm each day.
- Practice your 20-second elevator pitch. Be prepared to talk about who you are (name, year, major), what you have (internship/work/research experience, etc.) and what you want (internship in a particular field).
- Review the list of employers attending and research the ones you hope to meet.
HR Knowledge will be offering walk-in hours in Career Services from 10am-4pm on March 19th, the day before the Fair. Come with your questions on resumes and cover letters, or even practice your elevator pitch!
Networking
The Fair will provide you with the opportunity to make connections with potential employers. We have some great networking tips here.
