Configuring Entourage
Open MS Word to check on the version of MS Office 2008 you are running.
- Go to Word > About Word. The version should be up to 12.2.8
- If the version is not up to 12.2.8, go to www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads
- Download and install the Microsoft Office 2008 for MAC 12.2.8 Update
Go to www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads. Download and install Microsoft Entourage 2008 for MAC, Web services Edition.
Launch Entourage 2008.
Click on the Mail tab and click on the New button. Select Exchange for Account type and click OK.
When the account setup assistant appears, enter email address and put a check on "My Account" is on an exchange server. Click on "right arrow" at bottom of page to continue.
Your account setup is not complete yet. Click on "right arrow" at the bottom of the page.
Entourage is in the process of configuring your acount settings.
Verify and complete settings. Your exchange server is mail.stonehill.edu and LDAP server is metroplex.stonehill.edu
Click on "Verify my settings." This may take a few minutes and you may see an alert "Unable to establish a secure connection to mail.stonehill.edu". Click on "OK".
Now, enter your account information. Enter "Stonehill" for Domain and firstinitial+lastname for Account id.
After you have been notified that your account settings have been successfully verified, click on the right arrow at the bottom of the page Your setup is complete.
Click on "Finish". Close out of Accounts window. Expand on the triangle on left of Stonehill. You will see messages coming in.
