Connecting thru VPN from off-campus

Open an Internet browser, visit vpn.stonehill.edu and type your Stonehill username and password. Click on login.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will then be prompted to launch active X control(cache wiper), click OK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You should see a bar at the top of IE explorer, right click on it and run ActiveX control.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will be prompted to run the Active X control. Run it. Once again you will be prompted to launch and run another ActiveX Control(Nortel Net Direct).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now to access your share drive or another network resource, you will need to launch NetDirect.Once you doubleclick on the icon for NetDirect, you will be prompted to agree to the license agreement. Click on I agree. Then you will see a progress bar and Net Direct client is connecting to Stonehill network.

 

 

 

 

 

Once it connects, you will see the following Banner message.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will see an icon on your Systray to tell you that you are now connected to the Stonehill internal network.

 

 

 

 

 

You must keep the VPN portal page open. If you close it or navigate away from the VPN page, VPN will disconnect. If you would like to navigate to a website, please launch another Internet explorer session in a separator browser window.
