During Into the Streets on August 30th, one group of students visited St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where they got a peek into Brockton’s history as a prosperous city with a booming shoe industry. Since the collapse of the shoe industry, however, the City has faced many challenges and, as the students walked the streets, they saw the social consequences of what happens when one industry goes but nothing similar replaces it.
