Stonehill Celebrates Largest Reunion

Close to 780 reunion alumni and more than 400 family and friends celebrated the largest reunion in Stonehill history on June 3-6. Alumni & guests explored campus changes, showed their children around, renewed marriage vows, caught up with friends, and prayed for deceased classmates. They also enjoyed good food, music and dancing.

Class Acts
Alumni from 18 classes attended 27 events during Reunion--16 members of the Class of 1960 were inducted into the Pillar Society, which includes alumni who have celebrated or are celebrating their 50th reunion.
Traveling Band
Alumni traveled from 27 states (including Hawaii), the District of Columbia and even Ireland to attend Reunion 2010.
Young Alumni Gather
More than 200 members of the Class of 2005 returned to celebrate their 5th reunion, setting a new record for the largest class turnout ever.
Married Couples
Eleven couples renewed their wedding vows in the Chapel of Mary at a ceremony with Campus Minister Fr. Thomas Halkovic, C.S.C. '67.
Cookout
With good weather, the midday BBQ on Saturday attracted a record attendance of more than 600 guests, including many small children who enjoyed games, face painting and spin art.
Student Volunteers
Forty Student Alumni Association volunteers welcomed alumni, guided them, and helped to make the three-day event run smoothly.
Gift Giving
At Saturday night's gala dinner alumni, led by outgoing Fund Chair Ken Michel '68, presented the College with a $218,508 check.
