Spring Teams Make Their NCAA Tournament Marks

The Stonehill baseball and women's lacrosse teams are the latest Skyhawks to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Visit www.stonehillskyhawks.com for updates throughout the weekend.
The baseball team, which previously earned an NCAA Tournament bid in 2000, earned the Northeast-10's automatic qualifier by going a perfect 4-0 at the Northeast-10 Championships last weekend.
The fourth-seeded Skyhawks paired up with third-seeded University of New Haven in the opening round of the NCAA East Regional on Thursday, May 13 and came away with a 5-0 shutout victory. The team will now face 22nd ranked Franklin Pierce on Friday, May 14 at 7 p.m.
The women's lacrosse team will be seeded third in the NCAA North Region and will face second-seeded and defending national champion Adelphi University in first round action in Garden City, N.Y., on Saturday, May 15, at 12:30 p.m.
It will mark the second-straight matchup between the two longtime NCAA Tournament rivals and fellow NE-10 Conference members after the Panthers edged the Skyhawks 14-13 in overtime over the weekend in the NE-10 Championship.
