Stonehill Alumni Earn Top Scores on CPA Exam
May 07, 2010

Each year, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants honors the three individuals who receive the top scores in the state on the CPA exam and this year, two of the three are Stonehill Alumni. Patrick McCusker '08 and David Gancarz '07, both of PricewaterhouseCoopers, received the second and third highest scores on the CPA exam in the state, respectively.
Associate members of the assurance team at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, McCusker and Gancarz majored in accounting while at Stonehill. The two will be honored at the Massachusetts Society of CPAs' annual meeting in Boston on May 19.
"Pat and Dave represent the consistent high caliber of graduates Stonehill's accounting program produces," noted Debra Salvucci, associate professor and chair of the Business Administration Department at Stonehill.
PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the world's largest professional services firms and the largest of the Big Four auditing firms. It was formed in 1998 from a merger between Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand.
The MSCPA is the state's premier professional organization of more than 10,000 certified public accountants and accounting professionals.
