Stonehill Welcomes Business Expert and Woodrow Wilson Fellow Kate O’Neil to Campus

The Martin Institute and the Business Administration Department at Stonehill College will welcome the third Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow, Kate O'Neil, to campus for a one-week residency beginning Monday, February 1st. O'Neil is the Founding President and CEO of Liberty Street Advisors in Riverside, Connecticut.
Throughout her stay at Stonehill, she will be meeting with students and faculty as well as visiting classes. An opening public lecture on international business and global markets will be held on Monday the 1st , at 4 p.m. in the Martin Institute. O'Neil also will share her expertise on business ethics, entrepreneurship, the Federal Reserve System, risk management, leadership challenges and more.
Liberty Street Advisors offers public and private companies around the world executive insight on corporate governance, risk management and strategy development and execution. Prior to creating Liberty Street Advisors, O'Neil was the General Manager of Global Financial Markets Infrastructure for IBM.
O'Neil spent over 20 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she served in a number of senior roles, including Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Risk Officer.
O'Neil is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations where she co-chairs a roundtable on "Technology, Innovation and American Primacy." She is a member on the boards of BMC Software, MetLife Bank, and Guidance Software and the Vice Chairman of the Board of John Carroll University.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
The Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellows Program sends highly regarded, accomplished individuals to colleges across the country for a week of residency. For 35 years, the Visiting Fellows have been introducing students and faculty at liberal arts colleges to a wide range of perspectives on life, society, community, and achievement.
Past Visiting Fellows at Stonehill have included Baltimore Sun award-winning international journalist and editor Harold Piper as well as Professor of International Relations and Anthropology at Boston University and Middle East expert, Richard Norton.
