Identity Finder
Identity Finder is an application used to find and protect personal information stored on your computer. The Identity Finder software has been chosen by Stonehill as the solution for all Stonehill computer users to self-protect against possible identity theft. Identity Finder will search your computer, file shares, and personal media for vulnerable personal information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, employee identification numbers, maiden names, and other user-defined data. When Identity Finder locates such data, it will then allow a user to delete or encrypt it, protecting it from unwanted third party access. For an overview of the product, watch the Identity Finder Video Demo.
How do I get Identity Finder?
The College has licensed Identity Finder for faculty and staff use on Stonehill-owned computers. The software will be delivered to all desktop computers using the network.
Students, faculty, and staff who wish to use Identity Finder on their personal computers may purchase a discounted copy directly from the vendor.
What happens if I forget my password?
Never forget this password! There is no way to reset or find a password that you have chosen to login to Identity Finder. Files that are encrypted within Identity Finder are also protected with the same password that you have chosen to login to the system. Forgetting this password will prevent access to Identity Finder and all encrypted files.
