December 8, 2009 - The Martin Institute has announced that Kathleen Stephan '10 will receive this year's Joseph W. Martin Outstanding Senior Award.
An International Studies major with a minor in Economics, Stephan has an outstanding academic record and has been heavily engaged with the Martin Institute throughout her college career.
"To say that Kathleen is committed to her education is a serious understatement," notes Peter Ubertaccio, director of the Martin Institute. "Kathleen is passionate about issues of justice and working toward a shared sense of community and she demonstrates that passion in every aspect of her life."

Director of the Martin Institute Peter Ubertaccio has announced three members of the Stonehill faculty will serve as Faculty Fellows for the Institute’s new two-year theme on Indigenous Peoples.
The Joseph W. Martin Institute for Law and Society at Stonehill College invites submissions of poetry, fiction, personal or journalistic essays, related to its 2009-2010 theme of Globalization for its student writing contest. Submissions are due by February 26, 2010.
