Themes

The Director of the Martin Institute and the Martin Fellow in Public Policy work closely with a group of Faculty Fellows to develop co-curricular programming for the 2012 - 2014 theme of Environmental Justice, Sustainability and Economic Development.

In order to ask specific questions pertaining to this broad theme, we will organize events around four distinct but connected sub-themes. The series will be anchored around:

• The Tragedy of the Commons (focus on public goods and collective action problems) Fall 2012
• Climate Change, Spring 2013
• Food Security, Fall 2013
• Environmental Stewardship through Collaboration (focus on public private partnerships) Spring 2014

Each sub-theme will afford us the focus to develop concrete conversations and invite scholars, artists, and community members whose work more clearly articulates these conversations.
