Brendan O'Sullivan

O'Sullivan comes to Stonehill after spending the last several years at Rhodes College as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy. Prior to that, he spent 2 years as a visiting instructor of Philosophy at Davidson College. Specializing in philosophy of mind, he is also interested in metaphysics and ancient philosophy.
O'Sullivan's dissertation focused on the tension between treating mentality as both irreducible and as causally efficacious. His most recent work evaluates Princeton philosopher Saul Kripke's argument against the mind-brain identity.
