Standard 3. Organization & Governance - Projection
Given the recent enhancements to the College's governing bodies, the next Strategic Plan does not call for any significant change. But the College continues to work toward a more effective system of communication between major governing bodies. The bodies work well individually and accomplish their primary goals, but they are not always made aware of each other's work. The Board of Trustees takes seriously its legal and fiduciary responsibilities and exercises due oversight of the College's President; the President oversees the work of the Divisional managers of the College; faculty and student governing bodies meet regularly and represent their constituencies to the College Administration. As can be seen from the changes of the last decade, the College continually strives to improve and refine its governance structure, and it will continue to refine the structure as necessary.
