Athletics & Recreational Sports
At all levels of competition, Stonehill's athletics are a big part of life here -- more than 80% of our students participate on an NCAA Division II varsity team or play an intramural or club sport.

The Stonehill Skyhawks compete in the Northeast-10 Conference, the largest NCAA Division II conference in the country. The National Colleagiate Scouting Association (NCSA) ranks Stonehill #2 in NCAA Division II colleges in the country (June 2008), and Stonehill is consistently at the top level across all three NCAA Divisions, alongside powerhouses such as Duke, Stanford, and Notre Dame.
With 20 different varsity sports, including baseball, football, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's lacrosse, 10 recreational Sport Clubs, and 20 Intramural teams, Stonehill is dedicated to a tradition of athletic excellence and top competition.

Students and student-athletes have access to leadership programs, personal training, and a variety of athletics facilities, including recreational and varsity weight rooms, cardio fitness center, fieldhouse and indoor track, dance studio, and racquetball, volleyball, and tennis courts.
Group fitness classes like yoga, kickboxing, step and sculpt, and boot camp are also available each semester, and our coaches, trainers, Health and Wellness Educators and Dieticians are also here to support you in your active, healthy life on campus.
