Student Concentration Form

By the end of their Junior Year, American Studies majors should have chosen a concentration within American Studies that consists of five course in at least two different disciplines that define a coherent area of specialization within the major by focusing on a particular problem, topic or area of American society a culture. Some recent student concentrations include: Diversity and Difference, Material Culture and the Urban Built Environment, Popular Culture, America and the World and Representing America. Once students have chosen a concentration, they should submit two copies of this form to Elizabeth Belanger, Director American Studies Program.

Student Request for Major Credit

Students requesting that a course not cross-listed in American Studies be credited towards their major should submit two copies of this form along with a course syllabus and any other materials they think are relevant to Elizabeth Belanger, Director American Studies Program.

Faculty Request for Cross Listed Courses

Faculty who wish their course to be cross listed in American Studies should submit a copy of this form to Elizabeth Belanger, Director American Studies Program.
