Where are the paper journals located?
Recent journals and magazines that are dated within 5 years are located on the 1st floor of the MacPháidín Library towards the south side of the building. Older journals and magazines are shelved in the stacks on the 2nd floor of the library - again on the stacks closest to the south part of the building. All journals are arranged alphabetically by title on the shelves.
Where are the newspapers located?
Current newspapers are located in the newspaper browsing rack which is located in the front alcove on the 1st floor of the library beyond the Circulation Desk. Other newspapers are located to the left of the Periodicals Desk. From the library's entrance the Periodicals Desk is straight to the back of the building to the left. To the left of the desk is an alcove with all of the paper newspaper.
Where are the microfilm and microfiche located?
Both microfilm reels and microfiche cards are located in room 106 which is located in the back of the library toward the south facing side of the building. The room is generally locked. Please ask for assistance at the Periodicals Desk, Reference Desk or Circulation Des.
Where are the microfilm and microfiche readers?
The microfilm and microfiche reader islocated close the the Microforms alcove. From the entrance of the library, walk straight back towards the reference desk. When you reach the reference desk area, head to your left. Once you reach the periodicals help desk, turn to your left. The reader is at the end of the last bank of computers.
How do I know if we own a specific journal?
To see if we own an item in electronic format, do a search of our online full-text titles. This search feature gives information about full text coverage of journal titles and lets you know in which online database they are.
To see if we own an item in paper or microform format, do a search in our online catalog by title or journal title.
