DVDs in the Library
The library has an extensive collection of DVDs. DVD is the preferred format and whenever possible the Collection Development Librarian will order DVDs rather than VHS. There are 2 media rooms in the library with tvs, DVD players and VCRs. These media rooms are available for groups to watch videos and must be booked in advance. The rooms are kept locked unless they are in use. Additionally, the 24 computers in the Reference area of the library have DVD drives. Individuals can watch DVDs at these computers. Headphones are available at the Circulation desk.
PowerDVD is installed on the 24 computers in the Reference area of the library. With PowerDVD, patrons can bookmark certain spots on DVDs. This will allow them to return to that specific point in the DVD at a later time. Patrons must take their bookmarks files with them in order to use this feature in another location.
