Borrowing Privileges
Overview
You may borrow and return books and other library materials at the Circulation Desk located in the lobby. All circulating materials must be checked out at the Circulation Desk before being removed from the library. You are required to present your valid Hillcard when borrowing any materials, and you are responsible for materials checked out in your name. You are also responsible for knowing when the materials you checked out are due. Normally, the due date is stamped on the date slip attached to the item. You may also look at your current library record by using the Your library account feature on our homepage.
If you lose your Hillcard, please notify Campus Police immediately. Do NOT allow anyone else to use your Hillcard.

Southeastern Mass. Cooperating Libraries (Students and Faculty):
To obtain borrowing privileges, patrons must present a current ID from their college. We will verify status by contacting the college library. Up to 6 books may be borrowed for 30 days with 1 renewal of 15 days allowed per item, if not requested by another patron.
Stonehill Alumni, area clergy and Easton teachers:
To obtain borrowing privileges, patrons must show proof of eligibility and a current driver's license. Up to 4 books may be borrowed for 30 days with 1 renewal of 15 days allowed per item, if not requested by another patron.
Students, Faculty, Administration & Staff:
A courtesy notice will be sent via email 3 days before an item is due at the library.
Materials may be returned to the Circulation Desk, or if the library is closed, through the outside book depository located to the left of the front doors.
Renewals
Books and other circulating materials may be renewed as long as they have not been requested by another patron. You may renew online at Your library account (on the library homepage). You may also renew materials over the phone (ext. 1313), or in person at the Circulation Desk.
Borrowers will normally be able to use checked out library materials for a minimum of 30 days, although the library reserves the right to recall materials, if a need arises. Items needed for reserves may be recalled at any time.
A hold can be placed on materials currently checked out to another patron. Placing a hold means adding your name to a waiting list for an item already checked out. When the item is returned to the library, you will be notified that the item is being held at the circulation desk. Materials will be held at the desk for one week.
