Chet Raymo Literary Series: Due to unforeseen circumstances, which prevent playwright Tony Kushner from visiting Stonehill this Wednesday, October 29, the annual Chet Raymo Literary Series has been postponed until further notice. We regret any inconvenience, but look forward to welcoming the award-winning Kushner in the future when he will engage in a special conversation with Associate Professor of English Daniel Itzkovitz.

Alumna Honored: In recognition of her major contributions to the advancement of the medical sciences, Trustee Marsha Moses '75 has been elected to the Institute of Medicine. Membership in the IOM is one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine. A biology major at Stonehill, Moses is the Interim Director of the Vascular Biology Program at Children's Hospital and a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. For more, visit here.

Rappers and poets: Could rap artist Lil' Wayne be the Shakespeare of our time? Associate Professor of Communication Rev. James Chichetto, C.S.C. '64 is exploring that possibility. A poet himself, Fr. Chichetto studies rappers' use of metric forms of rhythm, comparing and contrasting them with the metric constructs of other poets and playwrights like Shakespeare. To learn more about Fr. Chichetto's literary research, visit here.
