Commencement Information

Saturday, May 18, 2013

12:00 noon  Graduation Rehearsal and President's address. Graduates will assemble behind Donahue Hall. Rehearsal attendance is required for all graduating seniors. Students who will not attend Commencement are required to notify the Office of the Provost.

1:00 - 2:30 p.m.  Caps, gowns and hoods are available at the College Bookstore. Seniors must pick up their own caps, gowns and hoods (to ensure proper fit). There is no charge.

4:00 p.m.   Baccalaureate Mass, Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex. Graduates do not march in procession for the Mass, but are asked to attend in the company of family and guests. No academic robes are worn for this occasion. Faculty members, administrators and staff members are invited to attend.

7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.  Commencement Eve Dinner Dance,  Hynes Convention Center Boston.

9:00 a.m.      Graduates assemble, in alphabetical order by degree, behind Donahue Hall for commencement procession.

9:30 a.m.      Faculty assemble in the Cushing Martin Building and dignitaries assemble in Martin Institute.

10:00 a.m.   Commencement Exercises, Quadrangle Lawn 

Immediately after Commencement:  Diplomas should be picked up in the Duffy Academic Center, room 134. Graduates can keep caps, gowns, and tassels.

6:00 p.m.     Deadline for removing belongings from residence halls and returning room keys (please refer to "Instructions for Graduates" section for more detailed information.
