Comprehensive in scope, the department provides students with the opportunity to experience specific artistic disciplines from various perspectives: historical, studio, graphic, and performance.

We offer a curriculum that combines a strong academic curriculum with experiential learning.

Majors

The Visual and Performing Arts Department offers a Major which has five different concentrations from which students may choose. Students may concentrate in Art HistoryFine ArtsGraphic Design, Music or Theatre Arts.

The General Concentration & Minors

In addition, a General Concentration  is also available and is recommended primarily for Elementary Education Majors. Many of our students double major to optimize career options or to satisfy a variety of interests. We also offer Minors in Art History, Theatre Arts, Studio Arts, Music and Dance.
