Dr. Katie Conboy
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

As Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Katie Conboy is responsible for the College’s academic vision and for ensuring that the curriculum meets its academic objectives. She also oversees strategic planning, degree programs and academic support.
A faculty member since 1987, Dr. Conboy has served as chair of the English Department and as interim academic vice president.
A published scholar, she specializes in British fiction, Irish literature and feminist theory. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Notre Dame.
Mary Beth Carey
Vice President for Enrollment Management & Marketing

With over 25 years in higher education admissions and enrollment management, Carey brings considerable knowledge and skill to her position at Stonehill. Prior to her appointment as Vice President at Drew, she was the Dean of Admissions and Financial Assistance at the University from 2003-2007.
Carey spent nine years at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY from 1994-2003, first serving as the Dean of Admissions for one year. In 1995 she was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions, eventually becoming the Vice President for Enrollment Services in 1998 until her departure in 2003.
From 1990-1994, Carey was the Director of Admissions at St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ and held a similar position at the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ from 1988-1990.
Carey began her career in high education at her alma mater, Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, shortly after earning her degree in Communication Arts in 1979. Starting as an Admissions Counselor, she rose to the position of Director of Admissions by 1987. She also served as Interim Vice President in 1987.
Rev. John Denning, C.S.C.
Vice President for Student Affairs

As Vice President for Student Affairs, Father Denning is responsible for the offices of residence life, intercultural affairs, health services, recreational sports, counseling and testing, and student activities.
Since July 2000, Father Denning has served Stonehill, first as director of Campus Ministry and then, since 2001, as vice president for Mission. He was appointed vice president for Student Affairs in the spring of 2007.
He holds a B.A. from Tulane University and a M.Div. from the University of Saint Michael’s College (University of Toronto). Father Denning is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Francis X. Dillon
Vice President for Advancement

As Vice President for Advancement, Francis X. Dillon directs the College’s development, alumni, communications, and external relations program. He led Stonehill’s first capital campaign from 1994-99, which successfully raised over $23 million.
A Stonehill alumnus, Dillon holds an M. Ed. in educational administration from Suffolk University. He is active in many community organizations such as Metro South Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Plymouth County, Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center and the Easton/Stonehill Town-Gown Committee.
Jeanne M. Finlayson
Vice President for Finance and Treasurer

As Vice President for Finance and Treasurer, Jeanne M. Finlayson manages the College's budget and endowment. She also has responsibility for overseeing, information technology, auxiliary services, accounting, campus police and facilities management.
Ms. Finlayson holds a B.S./B.A from Northeastern University and an M.S. degree from Boston College. Ms. Finlayson has also studied at the Management Institute for Women in Higher Education (HERS).
Ms. Finlayson joined Stonehill in September 2006. Before arriving at Stonehill, Ms. Finlayson served as Assistant Vice President for Finance at Wheaton College for over thirteen years and has over 20 years experience in higher education with prior financial management positions at both Newbury College and Bentley College.
Ms. Finlayson is actively involved in the National Association of College and University Business Officers and Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers where she has served on various committees
Thomas V. Flynn, Esq.
General Counsel

As General Counsel, Tom Flynn advises the College on legal and risk liability issues and oversees the Human Resources Department.
He has served the College in multiple roles since 1998 in the Academic, Advancement, and Student Affairs divisions. He was formerly an attorney with the Springfield firm of Moriarty & Connor, LLC and the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights. In addition to his duties as General Counsel and Clerk, he has served as an instructor in the College’s Education Department and former paralegal studies program.
Flynn is a 1993 graduate of Stonehill and a 1996 graduate of Western New England College School of Law.
