2011-12 Annual Planning Calendar

July

• Week of June 20 through July 11: Individual meetings with Division Heads to assist with the completion of FY11 Annual Plan Progress Reports and the Draft FY12 Annual Plans.
• July 15: Completed FY11 Annual Plan Progress Reports for April-June are returned by the respective Division Heads to the Office of Planning and Institutional Research (OPIR).
• July 15: Draft FY12 Annual Plans are returned by the respective Division Heads to OPIR.

August

• August 8: Completed FY12 Annual Plans returned to respective Division Heads.
• August 11: Annual Planning retreat for President and Division Heads.

September

• September 13: First Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) meeting of FY12. SPC discusses the Committee's work plan for the year and reviews the FY12 Draft Annual Planning Calendar.
• Week of September 19: OPIR, in conjuction with Assistant VP for Planning, produces fall edition of the Strategy Report.

October

• October 11: Regular SPC meeting.

November

• November 8: First of two annual joint meetings with the SPC and Division Heads. The meeting will include a review of the strategic initiatives underway in FY12 as well as a discussion of the priorities that will shape the development of the FY13 budget and annual plan.
• November 21: The FY12 Annual Plan Progress Reports for July-December are sent by OPIR to the respective Division Heads for their completion.

December

• Week of December 12: FY12 completed Annual Plan Progress Reports for July-December are returned by the respective Division Heads to OPIR.
• December 13: Regular SPC meeting. Approve the SPC meeting schedule for spring 2012.

January

• TBA: Regular SPC meeting. The SPC reviews the FY12 July-December Annual Plan Progress Report and produces an Executive Summary report for the Division Heads.

February

• TBA: Regular SPC meeting.
• Week of February 13: OPIR, in conjuction with Assistant VP for Planning, produces spring edition of the Strategy Report.

March

• TBA: Second joint SPC/Division Heads meeting. The discussion will focus on the development of the FY13 budget.
• Week of March 12: The FY12 Annual Plan Progress Reports for January-March are sent by OPIR to the respective Division Heads for their completion.

April

• TBA: Regular SPC meeting.
• Week of April 9: FY12 completed Annual Plan Progress Reports for January-March are returned by respective Division Heads to OPIR.

May

• TBA: Regular SPC meeting. The SPC reviews the FY13 proposed budget. The SPC also reviews the FY12 January-March Annual Plan Progress Reports and produces an Executive Summary report for the Division Heads.

June

• Week of June 11: the FY12 Annual Plan Progress Reports for April-June and the draft FY13 Annual Plan templates are sent by OPIR to the respective Division Heads for their completion.
