College Archives Finding Aids
Scope and Content Note:
The Stonehill College Archives are arranged according to the governance structure of the college. Material dates from 1905, when Frederick Lothrop Ames built his estate on the property Stonehill now occupies. Materials in the Archives are classified as confidential, restricted, official and public records. Confidential and restricted records are closed to students and the public for a period of 50 years.
Official College records are closed to students and the public for a period of 15 years from the date of creation unless otherwise specified. Public records are open for research upon receipt b the archvies. For more information about these classification, please consult the College Archivist. For the purpose of this finding aid, notes have been added to those records series that the Archives' staff has identified as having restricted records which will not be available for research. The Archives reserves the right to restrict records, even if not specifically noted in this index.
