ADMINISTRATION, FACULTY AND STAFF

The Telecommunication Departments provides telephone service to all Faculty, Administrators and Staff members.  Services include telephone service, voicemail, conference calling, cellular telephone service, wiring for voice, data and cable TV locations.  Please call the Telecommunications Department at ext. 1330 for assistance.

To reach an individual extension dial 508-565+4 digit extension

If the extension begins with a (2) two or a (3) three dial 508-565-1000 and the operator will connect you

CALL DETAIL RECORDING:

The telephone system keeps a record of all internal, local and long distance calls made from each extension. These records are reviewed monthly.

CALLER ID

Caller ID is available on all internal calls

Outbound calls from Stonehill record 508-565-1000 as the Caller ID

Incoming calls provide Caller ID if available from the carrier

CELLULAR TELEPHONE SERVICE DISCOUNT

Verizon Wireless offers Stonehill College employees an 15% monthly discount

SECURITY TELEPHONE/BLUE LIGHTS

There are security phone at the entrance to each residence hall and Blue Light emergency telephones throughout campus

TELEPHONE SYSTEM FEATURES

The most frequently used system features are shown below

Call Forward – Allows calls to be sent to another campus extension 

To activate:  Dial *2 or press programmed feature button

Dial the extension number to be forwarded to (3 beep confirmation tone)

To deactivate:  Dial #2 or press programmed feature button (3 beep Confirmation tone)

Send Calls - Sends all calls coming into an extension to voicemail

To activate:  Dial *3  or press programmed feature button(3 beep confirmation tone)

To deactivate: Dial # 3 or press programmed feature button (3 beep Confirmation tone)

Call Pickup – Allows call to be answered from another telephone in an office group

To activate:  Pick up receiver

Press *7 or press programmed feature button      

Answer call

Priority Ringing – Rings extension with a 3 burst ring

To activate: Dial *1

Dial extension

Caller will hear 3 burst ring

Call will continue to ring and not go to voicemail

Ring Patterns – Calls from internal or external calls will be identified with different ring patterns

One Ring: identifies call from internal caller

Two Rings:  identifies call as internal call
