Academic Advising for First-Year Students
To assist in your academic journey, you will be paired with a faculty advisor. You will meet with your advisor during the first week of the semester to review your interests and concerns as you start your college career. Advisors can answer any questions you might have and refer you to other campus professionals as needed.
Advisors use comments from a questionnaire you complete during Summer Orientation (FYE Survey) to help create the context for the first individual meetings with you.
Advisors are assigned with attention to the common interest areas of faculty and students. When possible your advisor will be one of the professors you may have during the fall semester.
Advisors and students can access the Academic Services website to locate the requirements for all majors and minors as well as a host of other information.
