Retreats

Retreats are available for students to deepen their faith life and spirituality.  Campus Ministry sponsors the Stonehill Encounters Christ Weekend, a Senior Retreat, Busy Person's Retreat, Women's Retreat and less formal opportunities to discuss faith issues and share prayer.

The Senior Retreat

This is  a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to go away for a weekend, reflect upon their time at Stonehill, and prepare themselves for their last semester.  The weekend is organized by the Campus Ministry team...so keep an eye out for further information.

The Busy Person's Retreat

The Busy Person's Retreat is offered for people who want to be on retreat, but just can't seem to escape for a whole weekend!

The Busy Person's Retreat is offered in October, and it is guaranteed to fit your busy schedule.  Students meet with a spiritual advisor for one hour a day, for one week. The individual meetings are organized around your hectic schedule.  There are Scripture readings, discussions, reflections and prayer services, all during the course of your busy day.

The Encounter Retreat

The Encounter Retreat is Stonehill's most popular retreat.  The retreat takes place at a Camp on Cape Cod in November, and again in February.  The retreat is organized almost completely by students.  The team is made up of ten retreat leaders, 2 MC's, and Fr. Tom Halkovic.

The students give all of the talks, prepare the reconciliation service, organize the music for liturgy, lead small and large group discussions, and have fun at the same time. You will meet wonderful people, you will learn about yourself, you will recognize the importance of Christ in your life, and you will have a great weekend away from Stonehill.  Information about the Retreats comes out in mid-October, and in mid-January.

Women's Retreat

The first Women's Retreat at Stonehill will take place April 8 - April 9, 2011.  It is open to all women from campus, both students, faculty, staff and administrators.  The Women's Retreat will offer an opportunity for women to come together in a spiritually nourishing environment to discuss women's issues through a holistic experience which engages the essence of being feminine.  For more information please contact MaryAnne Cappelleri.
