Office of International Programs (OIP)
The Office of International Programs (OIP) was established with the purpose of providing global education opportunities that compliment the curriculum of the College and assisting students in meeting their academic and personal goals.
How the OIP Guides Global Education Students
The Office of International Programs guides students in their exploration of international opportunities through the following processes:
Planning
The OIP guides students in their exploration of international opportunities and works with students to select courses with global content, international volunteer opportunities, or short-term study experiences that compliment their major or minors.
Predeparture
The OIP offers orientation programs and visa workshops for outbound students in order that they make the necessary preparations such as applying for passports & visas, selecting courses for abroad and obtaining the necessary approvals, as well as health and safety while abroad.
Reentry
Upon return to campus, students need support with facilitating their return to the academic and social life of Stonehill College. The OIP offers a variety of welcome back events and workshops that assist students with the often difficult transition back to the United States and to Stonehill College.
Reflection
An international experience often has significant impact on the development of a college student. The OIP works with students to reflect on their international experience in order that they continue to view themselves as life-long learners both while in college and beyond.
Make an Appointment
Students may make 30 minute-long appointments with either the Director or Assistant Director after attending the mandatory Getting Started Sessions that are offered every Monday from 11:30 - 1:00 pm and some evening sessions. Visit our Events & Programs page for complete details.
