Teaching Resources
In keeping with our mission to support faculty research about teaching and learning, the CTL is developing a collection of print and online resources to cover a wide variety of teaching topics.
If there is a text you would like to see in the CTL's library or a useful online resource you believe should be referenced on our site, please let us know.
Print Resources
The CTL's resource collection is catalogued online through LibraryThing.com. There you can browse through our collection or search via title, author, or topic.
Faculty are welcome to check out books from the resource collection. Either ask Pat Neagle for assistance or sign a book out yourself in the binder provided.
Faculty Reading Room
Part of the Duffy 114 office suite, the Faculty Reading Room holds the CTL's growing collection of print resources.
Furnished with a work area – as well as a microwave, refrigerator, water cooler, and single-serve coffee maker – the Reading Room is also a quiet place for faculty to do individual and collaborative work or to relax between classes or over lunch.
"Faculty Reflections" on Teaching
Occasionally, faculty post their reflections to the Class Notes Blog about what's been working in their classes. These reflections are archived here.
If you would like to contribute your own reflection, contact Stacy Grooters with your idea.
Online Resources
The CTL will be working in the coming year to organize links to electronic and online teaching resources. In the meantime, you can:
- find some suggested links on the Class Notes blog
- read the latest issue of The Teaching Professor
- find resources on teaching about white privilege
To find additional resources, try searching with the POD Network's new SOTL search tool.
