The Center for Teaching and Learning organizes a number of programs and events for faculty each semester.
These programs seek to provide faculty opportunities to exchange ideas regarding teaching and learning with each other and with outside experts.
Unless otherwise noted, the following programs are open to all full-time and part-time faculty at Stonehill. Please contact the CTL with any questions.
ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT DAY -- a day-long series of programs devoted to curricular and faculty development (held every semester)
FACULTY/LIBRARIAN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM -- a pilot program meant to encourage better collaboration between faculty and librarians
NEW FACULTY SEMINAR -- a monthly lunchtime seminar for all new full-time faculty
PRE-TENURE RETREAT -- a retreat organized each spring for all faculty on the tenure track
SOTL RESEARCH METHODS SERIES -- a series of faculty-led discussions about how different research methods can ben applied to classroom-based research on teaching and pedagogy.
SOTL WRITING RETREAT -- a summer retreat for faculty interested in working on a SOTL research project.
TAKE A COLLEAGUE TO LUNCH -- a pilot program meant to encourage faculty to visit each other's classes.
TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES SEMINAR -- a semester-long seminar open to all Stonehill faculty (application required)
TEACHING ROUNDTABLES -- faculty-led conversations about various teaching topics
TEACHING SQUARES -- an opportunity to visit the classes of three other faculty members at Stonehill
