equipped with five interchangeable basketball, tennis, and volleyball
courts. Encircling the courts and intersecting the two outer courts
is a 1/8 mile, four lane jogging and walking track. While many
different recreational activities will be taking place at one time within
the Field House, we will not be able to make the courts available all at
once. Please check the Recreational schedule for the availability
and time of various activities. Reservations for tennis courts can
be made in person at the Control Desk, located at the front of the Sports
Complex. ID is required.

the Dance Team, the SRS
Group Fitness program and many others.
Reservations must be made by a recognized group for the use of the Dance
Studio. Stereo equipment is made available for appropriate groups,
as well as work out mats, and stability balls. Please check
the Rec Schedule for availability and time of various
activities.
Racquetball
Court
The court is used daily and nightly for recreational purposes, but can
also be used for intramural tournaments; as well as being converted into a
Wallyball court.
Reservations for the court can be made by calling the SRS Office @
508.565.1064. Valid ID is required for court check-in at the Control Desk.
Locker Rooms
Men's and women's showers and locker facilities are available on a
daily basis. Belongings may be kept in lockers, although no locks
may be left on overnight. There are separate staff, student, and varsity
athletic locker rooms. Visiting Varsity Athletic teams will be
assigned a locker room and signs will be posted prohibiting general
public entrance. Locker rooms are cleaned daily to maintain health
and well-being of our students, faculty and staff; but we also ask that
you do your best to help keep locker rooms clean.

IMPORTANT REQUEST
TO ALL SPORTS COMPLEX
USERS
Mud, sand dirt, grass, salt, etc, can be very damaging. Without everyone's cooperation, we will see heavy
damage to our exercise equipment and playing surfaces. There will
simply be too much dirt, mud, salt, grass, etc. brought into the
facility. Despite the efforts of Facilities Management and the SRS staff,
we cannot keep up. No doubt we all appreciate the need for longevity of
life and quality of use of all our equipment and activity areas.
Unfortunately, our "please wipe your feet" requests are not
working. As evidenced in the past, if equipment goes down, we may not be
able to repair it. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN.
With this in mind, we continue to ask
all users of the
facility to voluntarily bring in a second pair of shoes
to change into once they arrive.
Since it is voluntary, we will naturally not enforce this. Those of you
who have been here prior to this year can appreciate how much improved our
facility is. We are sure you will want to help keep it that way. Should
this not have an impact, we will have to enforce a mandatory second pair
policy. This would mean... no extra pair, no dice. There are many colleges
and facilities that have this rule. Thanks for helping out with this
problem.
Notice:
SRS strongly advises obtaining medical clearance to anyone partaking in
any form of exercise program. You are advised NOT to work out or
participate if ill or injured. |
