Brand Standards

Stonehill competes with academic institutions across the nation and around the globe. Given this dynamic environment, it is increasingly important for our community to express a united, compelling voice. In order to continuously strengthen our reputation we must present a consistent visual identity.

College Logo

The central tenets of the Stonehill experience are embodied in its Latin motto, Lux et Spes: Light and Hope. They are the inspiration for Stonehill’s logo; a visual mark that simultaneously honors our proud history while positioning us as an institution focused on the future.

Departmental Logos

Departmental logos are an extension of the College's visual mark. Approved department-specific versions of the visual mark have been created by the Marketing Department for most units on campus.

Color Palette & Typography

Consistently applied colors and typography are critical elements of an identifiable brand. Stonehill's primary and supplementary colors and typefaces work together to convey our traditions and reinforce our identity.

College Seal

Stonehill’s seal includes symbols that illustrate the College’s origins and mission. Designed in 1951 and updated in 1997 by designer Matt Ralph of Plainspoke Design Co., the college seal is reserved for special occasions and circumstances where a formal and ceremonial image is appropriate.

The Marketing Department has developed downloadable templates for students, faculty and staff to use in the creation of correspondence and presentations.

Ordering Stationery

Branded stationery is available to all Stonehill departments and offices through Omnicolor Printing of Rumford, Rhode Island.
