Using Your Outlook Calendar to Schedule Appointments with Advisees

Tired of the paper sign-up sheet posted on your door to schedule advising sessions? Now that faculty and students are all using Outlook 365, students can request and schedule advising sessions using the Outlook calendar. This interactive training will demonstrate how the calendar works easily and effectively for scheduling meetings, requesting appointments and blocking off time slots. There is also an auto reminder for both you and the student!

myHill Targeted Announcements

Suitable for all Targeted Announcement providers, this workshop will provide you with everything you need to know to send effective Targeted Announcements to the Stonehill Community. We will cover the Targeted Announcement interface, using the Boolean operators to target your announcement to specific role, class year and/or majors.  We will also discuss options to send messages as email or post it as an announcement as well as formatting announcement including how to insert an image into a Targeted Announcement.  Please bring any upcoming announcements you would like to work on to get the most out of this training.

Outlook Basics

We all use email on a daily basis and that Outlook desktop program is our gateway to this useful tool. In this training, we’ll explore some of the basic email features the Outlook provides us, and then expand from there. Topics we will cover include organizing messages using filters and search folders, creating a signature file and an Out of Office message.  Calendaring basics that includes adding an appointment and using the Scheduling Assistant to plan a meeting as well as working with contacts; global and personal address lists and task list. Please note that this training will focus on Outlook 2010 on the Windows platform. 

myHill Channel Content Development

Suitable for all Content Developers, this hands-on workshop will cover a variety of topics that will help you harness the power of creating targeted content for your audience. We will be reviewing content management best practices, learn to use different Content Layouts depending on the needs, and many hints to simplify the process to refresh content often. This workshop is mandatory for all current myHill content providers.
