Is your son or daughter interested in studying and/or interning abroad?
The decision to pursue an international experience reflects a student's desire for growing independence, maturity, and worldliness, all of which can be accomplished by spending a semester or year abroad. International programs are very popular with Stonehill students. In fact, 40% of the class of 2013 spent at least one semester abroad. Stonehill's semester-long study abroad programs are recognized for their high quality and Stonehill is ranked #18 in the nation by the Institute of International Education for sending students on semester-long abroad programs.
As a parent or guardian, you play a vital role in supporting and encouraging your child during this exciting academic and personal experience. The Office of International Programs recognizes that the decision to study or intern abroad is a big decision not only for the students, but for you as the parents as well. Below you will find information and resources to guide you and your child throughout the abroad process.
