The Kente and Rainbow Ceremonies are a way to honor and acknowledge the experiences of students who identify as coming from African, Latino, Asian, and Native American heritage as well as students who identify within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities.

Kente and Rainbow Recognition and Appreciation Ceremony

At this ceremony, we honor our seniors who identify as coming from African, Latin@, Asian, Native American and Multiracial backgrounds. We are also honored to invite our seniors who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer for a Rainbow Ceremony.

The ceremony is held during the last week of classes and is supported by faculty and staff from across the College.
If you are a senior student who is graduating, be sure to contact the Office of Intercultural Affairs in mid-March to participate in these ceremonies.
