The Faculty Mentoring Program was established to provide new full-time faculty additional support as they transition to Stonehill, as well as to give experienced faculty the chance to get to know new members of the faculty.
The Faculty Handbook describes the program in full, but here are a few details:
- all new full-time faculty and fellows are paired with an experienced faculty mentor during their first year (sometimes within the department, sometimes outside the department)
- mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet at least three times per semester (and to attend an introductory lunch during New Faculty Orientation)
- mentors can be reimbursed up to $100 for expenses incurred with mentees (such as going out for lunch or coffee)
